How to Download a YouTube Playlist on Windows
Downloading a course, music list, or series one video at a time is slow. With Ballad VideoDownloader, you can paste a playlist URL and save the collection in one workflow.
Before you start
- Windows 10 / 11
- Ballad VideoDownloader installed (playlist landing page)
- A YouTube playlist link
- Lawful personal-use permission for the content
Step 1: Copy the playlist link
Open the playlist on YouTube and copy its URL from the address bar or the share panel. Playlist links usually include list= in the URL.
Step 2: Paste into VideoDownloader
- Launch Ballad VideoDownloader.
- Paste the playlist URL.
- Review the quality and format options shown for that list.
Step 3: Download the collection
Start the download and wait for items to finish. Open the output folder to confirm files are saved for offline viewing.
For UI-level steps, open the playlist download guide.
What is supported (and what is not)
- Supported: a YouTube playlist (or compatible playlist-style links on other sites).
- Not yet: queuing many unrelated single video links in one multi-batch queue.
If you only need one video, use the YouTube downloader page instead.
Tips
- Pick a practical resolution if the playlist is long—ultra HD uses more disk space.
- Keep naming/output folders organized by course or topic.
- Livestreams are a separate flow; see the livestream guide.
Legal note
Only download playlists you are allowed to save. Read Is it legal to download YouTube videos? and our copyright FAQ.
